This weekend Kelli and I are off to North Conway, New Hampshire for a wedding. The trip got me thinking about last year – specifically September 2007 – when I ran in the Reach the Beach Relay, a 24-hour, 200-mile road running team relay that basically runs across the entire state of New Hampshire. While some of our racers were out on the course, my van of runners stopped for dinner in West Ossipee. We piled into The Yankee Smokehouse, a local, independent restaurant in rural New Hampshire. Much to my delight, they had a gluten-free menu! I enjoyed a hearty dinner of barbeque chicken with a side of corn on the cob. If you’re ever in that corner of the state, stop in for a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed.
